A Persian Lilihan with intricate floral motifs of traditional Lilihan design and striking abrash (colour variation) that is characteristic of rugs that were dyed with organic plant dyes. The predominant colour is a gorgeous Aegean blue.
Lilihan Persian rugs were woven in the village of Lilihan situated in the south of Arak province in Iran by Persian Armenians. They are coarsely but tightly woven, giving them incredible durability and a plush feel.
This rug is in excellent condition with even wear consistent with age and low pile.
